That´s about the extent of my Spanish right now.
I got here yesterday afternoon and it was so nice not to see any snow. Flying into Tegucigalpa was really beautiful. We flew over the Gulf which was all different shades of blue, and then the countryside which is really green and lush. There were a lot of mountains covered in trees and then all of a sudden Tegucigalpa. From the plane, the city seemed draped over the mountains like a shiny metal blanket. All of the metal rooftops reflected the sun so the whole city was gleaming. I saw new housing, construction, stucco and concrete, bright colors. I saw shanty towns, metal and plywood, tin roofs, barbed wire. Tegucigalpa is definitely a city of contrasts.
Tim and Gloria´s house is big and open. It´s maybe 30 minutes from the city. The floor is all cool tile which feels great on bare feet.
No internet access at the house. I´m updating from the Heifer office. There isn´t any wireless there, though, so we´ll see about posting pictures.
