Here's the house we stayed in while we were in the community. It was probably the biggest and nicest house we saw.

We thought sleeping in hammocks was really cool, until we discovered why. On the first night, we were sitting outside and a scorpion ran by. The head woman of the house (the campanera) chased after it and stepped on it. In flip-flops. No fear.

So after that, sleeping in hammocks wasn't so cool.
