Today in school we took a little field trip to a nearby hotel to see un arbol de cacao. The tree bears fruit all year round, and it's ready to pick when it turns yellow. Cocoa powder is made from grinding up the seeds inside of the fruit (I'm pretty sure). Add a little sugar and you get chocolate. Kind of disappointed that there wasn't any ripe cocoa fruit. I really wanted to steal one and make my own chocolate.
