The Ruins are an active archaeological site, and temples like this one are still partially buried underground. There's a tunnel system which lets people see the bottom half of the temples, but it cost $10 extra and the foundations are pretty deteriorated. I stayed aboveground. Still, what's visible of the temples is pretty spectacular.

For perspective's sake
