So I finally found the old jail. It was worth all the searching. And the serious hill climbing.
The jail is a really good spot for looking down on Copan and around the Valle de Copan. Inside, there's a children's museum about the Maya, but it didn't seem to be open. All in all, it seemed like a pretty prime spot to be incarcerated.
