All of Las Mercedes came to say goodbye to us in a going away/thank you ceremony. A few people made speeches and everyone sang some religious songs. Just this huge, multicolored mass of bodies all gathered outside of the school. It was moving.
The contrast between the women and their dresses is kind of ironic. All these timid women in loud, bold prints. The men are a little more outspoken, but still sort of quiet and stoic. And they all tend to dress the same.
